MMA

CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) combines Kickboxing, Boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, and Judo into one sport.  MMA is the sport displayed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), as well as other local and national MMA events such as WI Xtreme Cage Fighting.  MMA class has applications for self-defense, competition, and functional fitness.  Students learn techniques from multiple martial arts to participate in the world’s most realistic and modern self-defense sport.

All MMA Competition Team members are required to participate in Kickboxing and BJJ classes as well as the MMA Competition Team practices.  Competition Team is the time to put all your techniques together in live grappling and sparring.  During this time, you may learn new techniques, work drills, improve strength & conditioning, grapple, or spar.

Rothwell MMA offers competition team training for members seeking advanced instruction and/or preparation for amateur & professional MMA bouts.  Competition team is by invitation only.  If interested, please stop by to talk to Head Coach Ben Rothwell.

CLASS SCHEDULE:

Monday – Thursday: 7:30 – 8:30 pm

Friday: 4:00 – 5:00 pm
