Meet Frances! Frances is one of our hardest working Kick Fitters and can frequently be found crushing 2-a-day workouts. She is a natural leader who impresses us with her dedication to fitness and intense workload, day in, and day out. Frances always has a smile on her face and motivates other Kick Fitters with her encouraging words. We’re so glad that Frances chose to be part of our fitness family at Rothwell MMA.
Frances’ journey, in her own words: “Hello! My name is Frances. I was born and raised in Chicago, IL. My husband and I uprooted our family to Kenosha, WI in 2005. I am a mother of three sons (Angel 26, Nicholas 19, and Nathan 14). I am also a grandmother.
A few years ago, I was noticing that I was gaining a lot of weight and eating too much. My life style became too comfortable where I did not want to move. After my part-time job, taking care of my home, husband, raising my boys, volunteering at school, I really did not want to do anything else. This sedentary thing was becoming a problem. I let myself go. I realized I had to do something. I needed to invest in myself, take care of myself and I just wanted to be healthy.
It will be two years in June 2017 that I joined Rothwell MMA. They have a Kick Fit class that I take about 4-5 days a week. Rothwell has been a blessing for me. This is where I go to relieve my stress and worries. It is my ME time.
The instructors at Rothwell are amazing. James, Taylor, Boch and CJ, you keep me going strong. The owners, Ben and Jen, are great people. They built a gym where everyone is included and cared for. Once you join, you become part of the Rothwell family or as we say, “familia.” I have also met and worked out with a great group of people that are just so inspiring that they leave no one behind when you are struggling. I truly appreciate that. We don’t mess around in Kick Fit. We leave puddles of sweat everywhere. I am one lucky girl to have found Rothwell MMA. It feels good to be a part of something great.
