Kickboxing, Beginners

CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Kickboxing is a great way to get in shape, learn to defend yourself, and build confidence!  This MMA-style “Kickboxing” class is an integration of Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai and has applications for self-defense, competition, and fitness.  Learn the basics of Kickboxing, how to hold mitts, and prepare yourself for the next level of Kickboxing at Rothwell MMA.  Every student is unique and will “graduate” to the next level in their own time – anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months.

Class begins with warming-up, stance and footwork drills, followed by a technique demonstration.  Then, you will practice the technique with a partner while also learning how to hold mitts, Thai pads, or a kick shield.  You will learn basic Kickboxing punches, elbows, kick, and knees while working up a sweat.  Improve your speed and technique on the bag system that includes speed, heavy, double-end, uppercut, slip, and body bags.  Strengthen and condition your body with 60 minutes of hard work that incorporates your entire body and mind. During Kickboxing class, you will not get hit in the head or body, you will only hit the mitts, shields, and bags. 

All levels welcome, NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!  For ages 15+ years.

Monday: 6:30 – 7:30 pm

Wednesday: 6:30 – 7:30 pm

SCHEDULE, LEVEL 1/ BAGS CIRCUIT :

Tuesday: 11:15 am – 12:00 pm

Thursday: 11:15 am – 12:00 pm

Friday: 5:30 – 6:30 pm
